I cannot believe Fathers Day is right around the corner. This also means my birthday is coming up! I was born on Fathers Day and always joked that I was my Dad's eternal fathers day present. There is a trend going around - buying gifts made from wood. Wood sunglasses, Wood bow-ties and
Wood watches are a few items I've seen popping up everywhere I look. Being my maiden name is Wood, I love everything about this trend ;)
I gave my husband Gabe a
Jord Wood Watch for his birthday last month. When we were with the family at Epcot over the weekend, his father mentioned a few times that his watch would make a perfect Fathers Day gift.
The watch I got Gabe was the
Jord Sully Wood Watch (retailed $139). It's a two tone black and maple wood watch. The Sully series marries complimentary and contrasting woods giving a vivid and varied tonal effect that can only be achieved when constructing a wood timepiece. In other words, this watch is gorgeous.
Aside from Gabe's father drooling over the wood watch, he has received multiple compliments from friends and strangers. Gabe loves that it is light weight and said he sometimes forgets it is on. One of the features that I like most about his watch is how the bezel compliments the two tone wood. It really makes the watch pop.
Gabe's been very responsible with keeping this watch away from water. Each JORD watch is designed to be splash proof but is not intended for complete submergence in water. It is also made of a Scratch Resistant Mineral.
Jord offers
ladies wood watches and
mens wood watches. Aside from Gabe's watch, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite watches below. Top Left: Cora (retailed $275). Bottom Left: Dover (retailed $295) Top Right: Sidney (retailed $199). Bottom Right: Pujols Family Foundation Wood Watch, made with the same wood bats are made out of ( Retailed $195 & 20% of all proceeds from this watch directly benefit the Pujols Family Foundation)
With Jord Watches starting at $129, you couldn't go wrong with this gift for Fathers Day, Birthdays or any other holiday for that matter.
Disclaimer: Jord sent me a watch for review. Instead of keeping it for myself, I gave it to my husband and he truly loves it, to the point a few of his friends are considering buying Jord watches of their own. As always, all opinion are mine.
