The Rock Spa at Seminole Hard Rock Casino

I was provided spa services for the VIP sneak peek of Rock Spa. As always, all opinions are my own. 

We only live 7 miles from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino of Tampa. Before August of 2014, my husband and I had only visited Hard Rock twice in our nearly 4 years of living here. We both had a misconceived notion of the property, thinking it was all slot machines, black jack and poker. While they have all of that, they also offer so so so much more than gambling. 

Seminole Hard Rock of Tampa can now proudly say they have one of the best day spa's in the Tampa Bay area. This afternoon, I had an opportunity to check out their newly remodeled Rock Spa which boasts nearly 6,000 square feet in the center of the casino. Besides Roulette machines and killer restaurants, I now have even more excuses to visit Seminole Hard Rock!

Since I live so close to the property, I chose to have the Solid as a Rock massage (deep tissue) during my lunch hour. One of the benefits of working from home - no one will care if I come back to work looking like a grease monkey. Christina was my masseuse and I can honestly tell you - it was hands down the best massage I have ever had.

I strategically planned my treatment right before this Sunday's Disney Marathon so I could get all that lactic acid out of my system. Christina was aware of Sunday's race so she applied the right amount of pressure - not too soft and not too hard. For the first time in my life, I did not think about all the emails I was missing, the calls that were going to voicemail or stress in my life. I was relaxed during and currently feel like a million bucks. Now if only that Roulette machine would give me a million bucks!

The Rock Spa offers traditional spa services for both men and women including waxing, facials, facial add-ons, hair styling & coloring, massage, body treatments, nails and nails add-ons. What you won't find everywhere else is that their services are named after prominent rock songs like “Forever Young” (facial); “If I Could Turn Back Time” (facial add-on); “Solid as a Rock” (massage); “Walk This Way” (pedicure); and “Pour Some Sugar on Me” (body treatment).

More unique than the treatment names: Rock Spa offers a groundbreaking “Rhythm & Motion,” massage, the world’s first fully immersive music-centric spa menu utilizing amplified vibrations, pressures and patterns as the foundation of its treatments. The experience will take guests on a rhythmic massage journey. I did not chose this treatment this time but after today's experience, I will be back in the future to check it out.
