Spa Oceana at Loews Don Cesar

Spending a day at a Spa is my favorite thing to do. I could literally spend hours getting pampered and not caring about what emails and phone calls I missed. When that spa is situated overlooking sugar sand and crystal blue waters, your day goes from perfect to true bliss.

I recently had the opportunity to check out Spa Oceana at Loews Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach. 5+ years ago, my background was in Resort development and I had the opportunity to experience and research multiple spa's both nationally and internationally. I have been to my fair share of high end spas and can honestly say that this was the nicest spa I have ever visited.

One of the first things I noticed about Spa Oceana was their level of professionalism and making their guests feel at home. After going to the Women's locker room and changing into a plush robe, I was escorted into the relaxation room. In the relaxation room, loose leaf tea, water and small snacks were offered.

I grabbed a delicious cup of delicious White Lion Cranberry Hibiscus Tea and headed back to one of Spa Oceana's 16 treatment rooms. On our way back, I was shown the couples therapy room and instantly that Gabe and I need to book something prior to our wedding to alleviate stress.

The treatment I selected was a Grape Stem Cell Renewal Facial. This was hands down the best facial I have ever gotten and my skin felt and looked amazing for days. Grape stem cells have a regenerative effect on skin cells, containing a high amount of anti-oxidants and help to repair dehydrated , devitalized, wrinkled and environmentally stressed skin.

Being I had my former roomates wedding a few days prior to this treatment, my skin needed some major TLC. The organic Grape Skin Cell Renewal Facial balances the skin, stimulates healthy cell renewal, evens out pores, and infuses vitamins and minerals to combat the aging process. I would strongly suggest this facial to anyone.

After my hour and a half long facial, I headed up to Spa Oceana's rooftop garden overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. If you have a treatment at the Spa, the rooftop terrace is yours to enjoy for the day (along with a steam room and whirlpool). The weather was post card perfect and after receiving a glass of bubbly, I found pure bliss and contemplated chaining myself to a chair so I never had to leave.

Lunch was served on the rooftop - it was delicious and light. My salad had the perfect combo with hearts of palm, grapefruit and grilled cheese. The giant fruit plate featured many fruits that are in season.

I couldn't leave without one last shot of beautiful St. Pete beach.
