Over the last two years, I always went for the Sparkle Skirts Light Basic, a skirt that I would wear over my old faithful Nike compression shorts. A few weeks ago, I took a chance on trying a Sparkle Skirts Tech skirt, a skirt that had shorts built in. I wore this race in two back to back races, the runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon and the Women's Running Series Half Marathon, St. Pete. In both races, the shorts never rode up on me and the top was beyond comfortable. Anything that digs in while running causes me major belly issues. I will state, this is my favorite running skirt to date. It has multiple hidden pockets and I never once found myself pulling at it, in either race.
Not to take away from the Sparkle Tech but the Sparkle Basic Skirts are also amazing. They fit perfect over your favorite running shorts and I have worn my red one to 4 races. I can proudly state it has gone over 50 miles and never frilled or fallen apart.
You will be seeing many Sparkle Skirts on me over the next 3 months with the upcoming runDisney Dopey Challenge and the runDisney Glass Slipper Challenge.
My friends at Sparkle Skirts want to give one lucky reader a $75 gift certificate, for a standard Sparkle Tech Skirt and Shipping! Let me know in the comment field below if you like to dress up for races and if so, what your favorite outfit has been.

ReplyDeleteI only started running March 2013 - never even been an enthusiastic walker let alone a "runner" - my goal is to complete the Glass Slipper Challenge in Feb 2014. I am plus size was getting very discouraged that there was no cute running gear that fit me...that was until my sister introduced me to Sparkle Skirts! Now I am an Empress! My first skirt was the Circus Daze Sparkle Tech with bright dots! It fits perfect, never rides up and I never have to fidget. I always run stronger when I wear that skirt...I think there's power in them dots! You know what they say - when you look good, you feel good - and when you feel good, you run fast! I have worn it to two 5K races in Toronto and always get compliments! ReplyDeleteI started running this year and have done two 5Ks so far. The first was a color run, so I wore white clothes I got at a thrift store. Sadly, most of the color washed out. The second was a The Great Bacon Race. It was cold and wet, so I dressed for warmth, but tried to wear bacon-y colors. I'm hooked now and have been dreaming about someday owning a Sparkle Skirt.
