Last Wednesday, Joe shot our engagement shoot at Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream, Tampa. While most little girls dream of Prince Charming taking them away in a pumkin carriage on the day they imagine becoming a bride, I dreamt of ghosts, goblins and vampires. While that vision has changed a bit as an adult, I still love Halloween and this is one of the reasons many we are getting married in New Orleans. A bit of Halloween elegance in a historic city of love.
When Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream announced their new haunted house - Death Water Bayou, a house located deep in the bayou with a homage to New Orleans, I knew we had to get engagement photos done here.
Zombies and the Voodoo Queen were used throughout the shoot, giving it the perfect Halloween spook. As mentioned in my 2013 review on Howl-O-Scream, we were beyond impressed with the Death Water Bayou house. Without further ado, here is Gabe and my engagement shoot at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Howl-O-Scream by Roberts Imagery.
What do you think? This photo shoot was beyond anything my imagination dreamed of. The photos Joe took will be perfect alongside our elegant engagement session at Oak Alley Plantation we took earlier this summer. We were very impressed overall with the staff of Busch Gardens and the professional / creativity of Roberts Imagery.

ReplyDeleteThank you times 10,000 - if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be making this comment right now! xoxoxo
DeleteAs a veteran HoS employee all I can say is WOW. These are so amazing!
ReplyDeletePixie, that means a bunch to me! Thank you so much :)
DeleteI admit to being old and out of date, but ... this is the second set of engagement pictures. How many sets are taken these days? When we got married, the average bride and groom had snapshots done by their friends or parents. We were no exception. I think I might be envious.
ReplyDeleteLOL Joan :) I believe most couples do one set of engagement photos (if they even choose to do one). We had our original photos at the plantation lined up and then found out that Busch Gardens was having a New Orleans themed house. I was very fortunate for both settings - now what am I going to do with 400 engagement photos? Christmas gifts for everyone, lol!
DeleteWow! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nichole!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteI love these! Super original and unique! Now if only you can help me NOT be a scaredy cat - or Kat ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you girlie!!! I can help you not be afraid of all things except clowns. I hate clowns.

ReplyDeleteThank you!!!! I am obsessed with these photos :)
DeleteYou guys are so freaking awesome, Megan. These are the most fun engagement photos I've ever seen. Your face in the photo where Skeletor is reaching out to you cracks me up! You are going to have the best wedding! I may or may not fly to New Orleans and be a wedding crasher ;)
