Eataly offers 7 sit down restaurants with both table and bar seats with each location positioned conveniently next to the market area that provides its fresh ingredients. Vegetarian restaurant Le Verdure is next to the produce section. La Piazza is located next to the fresh mozzarella and Salumi & Cheese Counters. Fish restaurant Il Pesce is next to the fishmonger. La Pizza & Pasta is next to the Bakery. Manzo is located next to the Butcher. Pranzo is located in Eataly's Cooking School and Birreria is a rooftop restaurant that brews its own cask ales and serves food from every restaurant with the exception of La Pizza & Pasta. For those on the go, there is also a Panini Counter that offers daily changing housemade sandwiches and a Rotisserie Counter that offers handcarved meats and assorted antipasti.
I have been a fan of Eataly's on Facebook for quite sometime but had no idea what to expect. Darlynn and I ate at La Pizza & Pasta and split the Verace Tsg pizza - Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella di Bufala from napoli, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil from sorrento. This simple pizza was beyond amazing.
We also ordered an assportment of artisanal salumi and a bottle of Rose. It was the perfect lunch in a perfect setting.
After our lunch, we strolled around Eataly for TWO hours. If you find yourself in the big apple, do yourself a favor and visit Eataly. Even if you do not go for a meal, you can grab a glass of wine and meats/cheeses at La Piazza or espresso and gelato at the front of the store. Here is what you can expect to see in Eataly (and so much more)
Yum!! My mom always gets their balsamic vinegar! That place is so much fun!!!
