Zoku Slushie and Shake Maker review

Two Summers ago, I purchased a Zoku pop maker from William Sonoma in Tampa. I had just moved to the Bay area and finally broke down and bought the 7 minute Popsicle making device. I love my Zoku pop maker, especially during these hot summer days.

I was delighted to hear that Zoku added a slushie maker to their lineup. This little device makes homemade slushie's, shakes and smoothies in 7 minutes. It's super quick and easy, all you have to do is pour a chilled beverage into the frozen sleeve and scrape the sides of the wall.

I created a watermelon and cucumber vodka slushie. It was quick to make and simply amazing. I used fresh watermelon juice and Skinny Girl cucumber vodka. This little gadget is absolutely coming with me to our family vacation in Ana Maria Island this week.

I crave slushies when I am sick or very overheated but know the overly sugary ones found in convenient stores are not the best option for one who is watching her every calorie and sugar intake. Since I make all of my sodas at home, I know I can make my beloved coke slushies on a whim! I also made frozen Gatorade after my long run the other day. Overall, I am very impressed with the Zoku slushie maker and feel it is well worth the $20. http://www.zokuhome.com/

Discolsure: Zoku provided me with a slushie maker in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
