Happy Monday! I am suffering from a lack of sleep thanks to my new neighbor but I am not going to go into that right now. I am loving this Fall weather for late afternoon/early evening runs. Our humidity is down to 40% at times, which is amazing. I wish it were like this all year.
Speaking of running, I am excited to say that we have signed up for our first out of state half marathon! Gabe and I will be running the
Rock and Roll half marathon series in New Orleans on February 24th! Although this race series is in our town two weeks prior to the New Orleans race, we thought this was a perfect way to combine our two loves, the French Quarter and running. Since we are making a vacation out of this as well, we opted to do the two person relay so we don't overly strain ourselves.
I cannot wait.

This Saturday, I will be attending
Tasting Tampa Mojito Madness. I am very excited about this. 5 locations, two mojito's and food at each stop while being chauffeured in a limo bus. Yes please! Stay tuned next week for my recap on what will surely be a fun event.
This Wednesday, I will be checking out
Lee Roy Selmon's new fall sharables menu along with the new menu item....drum roll please....Chicken and Waffles. I have a
obsession soft spot in my heart for chicken and waffles....

It's another busy week and it is time for me to step up my training once again. Halloween is right around the corner and we have yet to pick out our costumes. This is very unlike me as I generally have my Halloween plan carved out by August. Then before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. Where has 2012 gone?

NO is a fabulous place for a run - so much to look at, fairly flat and lots of people watching - you will have a blast!

You know what is funny Corey - we went to NOLA in April for vacation. It was before we got seriously into running. We saw some people running through the French Quarter and thought they were nuts. Now we cannot wait to go back and run through there ourselves. Funny how quickly things can change!
DeleteWow. That sounds like a fun half-marathon! I adore New Orleans. It may have to go on my bucket list... ;-)
