2013 Walt Disney World 20th Anniversary Marathon Medal Revealed - Discounted Entry Fees

After a genius marketing campaign by our friends at RunDisney, the 2013 Walt Disney World Marathon Medal has been revealed. In the video below, you will follow the journey of the great medal caper - aka Donald Duck, who stole the 2013 Half Marathon Medal, which you can find here. This video shows the artistic creation and the reveal of the amazing 20th anniversary medal. This unique design features a classic circular shaped medal with two spinning elements, including a classic and Modern Mickey Mouse. I have multiple friends running the 26.2 miles, including Nicole who ran her first 5K with me in February! My Run Disney friends Rachel and Marcia are also running the full while my friend and co-worker Michelle is running the Goofy! All of whom are trying to push me into switching from the half to the full. Help!

The new RunDisney website was revealed today and I couldn't be any happier. It is easy to navigate, you don't have to look all over for what you are looking for and it has a very clean simplistic design, which I feel is the new age for websites: Going back to the basics.

In honor of the medal reveal and the new website, Run Disney is doing something that never happens - a great medal caper flash sale. They are lowering the registration prices for the full marathon, half marathon and goofy challenge to the starting price tier (which went up on June 20th). Until Noon tomorrow (August 15th), prices will be $150 for the half marathon, full marathon and the Goofy race will be $320. After 12pm tomorrow, prices will be $20 higher for both half and full marathons while Goofy will jump up $30 (the normal prices for this time).  This is great news for slackers like myself but it's official because we signed up for the Half Marathon the moment this discount came out!!
